The London School of English (LSE) is the longest-established officially Accredited school in Britain. Founded in 1912, we have unrivalled experience. We are of medium size: small enough to provide a personal service, but large enough to have excellent facilities and resources.

We have two fine campuses close to the heart of London, each offering a variety of courses designed for serious adults. Our range of courses includes General English, Examination Preparation, English for Business and a number of other specialised programmes.

We have excellent teachers, of course, but we know that a good school is about much more than the course itself. We offer a full range of services designed to make your experience with us useful, stimulating and fun from the moment you start to plan until after you get home.

Throughout our history we have emphasised development and innovation, both at home and abroad. This website brings together our whole UK offer – our two London centres and Canterbury, a boutique training centre specialising in courses for the corporate market. Two-centre courses – part London, part Canterbury – can be highly effective.

We cater for a wide variety of needs, from the general to highly specialised courses. We will always assess your needs and give you honest advice about the most appropriate course. Whatever your reason for needing language training, we probably have something suitable but if we do not have the right course for you, we will always tell you.
