About the Business
Midlands Languages was founded after I worked as a private languages tutor for over a year. I am currently the Head of Modern Foreign Languages at a secondary school in Birmingham (additional details, as well as name, withheld for professional reasons pertaining to my role within the school but available on request), having graduated in 2011 from Durham University with a BA Hons in French, Spanish and German. I teach Key Stages 3-5 (ages 11-18) but enjoy working with adults every bit as much. I have completed a Masters from Warwick University in Education Leadership.
I have lived in Paris, Bilbao and Berlin, such that I offer language services rooted in the culture and current usage of the target language.
Midlands Languages is a private tuition service, based in Birmingham and operating in and around the city. ML’s vision is to offer a broad range of language services at affordable prices. This is achieved by cutting out the middle-man who verifies the qualification of tutors. I offer tutees the same guarantee by providing certification of academic and teaching qualifications, as well as offering reduced first lesson fees to decide whether or not my services are what you are looking for.

- Beginners course: £30/hour.
- Key Stage 3 private tuition: £30/hour.
- Key Stage 4 private GCSE tuition: £35/hour.
- Key Stage 5 AS/A-Level private tuition: £35/hour.
- Key Stage 5 / Undergraduate level conversation classes: £25/hour.
- Group tutorials – If you are a pair working at a similar level, you will receive a 25% discount for any of the above tuition or bespoke courses. If you are a group of three or four, you will receive a 33% discount. If you are a group of five or six you will receive a 50% discount for any tuition.
