Here at The Devon School of English we have created a relaxed and friendly environment where learning English is a real pleasure and where everyone is treated as a special guest.
We started the school in 1971 and now our sons, all academics and linguists, are the directors of the school. They work hard to maintain the very highest standards in student education, activity programmes, accommodation and welfare.
As an independent, family-run school, we can react quickly to the latest developments in teaching and preserve that “personal touch” for which we are well-known. Understanding and satisfying an individual student’s needs and objectives lie at the heart of our approach to the learning experience, encouraging students to take responsibility for their own progress. Business Services
General English
General English (15 hours per week):
Study English for 15 hours a week, five mornings from Monday to Friday, leaves your afternoons free to visit places of interest in the South West.
General English (23 hours per week):
23-hours a week intensive courses are for students who want to devote as much time as possible to their English studies and maximize their progress during their time in England.
General English Combination Course:
A combination course offers a balance of study which allows students to learn and practise their English communication skills in a class environment and focus on individual needs.
Long Stay General English (12 weeks +):
Long Stay Courses are for students who wish to study for 12 weeks or more at the Devon School of English. The course provides you with 23 hours of General English lessons per week.
Academic Year Course (30 weeks +):
A student following an Academic Year Course studies 23 hours a week and stays for 30 weeks or longer.
