About the Business
Located in the Hall, an impressive 18th Century building in the centre of the historic cathedral city of Salisbury, the Babylon School of Languages is a privately run school which takes great pride in providing a personal service to all our students. Originally created in 2002 for the teaching of Arabic, we have been teaching English since 2011 and now offer courses in General English (from beginner level up to advanced), preparation for Cambridge ESOL and IELTS examinations, Business English and a wide selection of Professional English courses.
The School holds British Council accreditation and so can sponsor students for Extended Student visas. The Hall is a registered Cambridge and Trinity computer-based test centre and our 16-bay blended learning suite can be used by all students to supplement their classroom lessons. Salisbury is perfectly situated to explore the tourist attractions of Southern England including London, Bath, Oxford, Windsor and Portsmouth, and we can offer a stimulating and varied weekend programme of excursions.
We are particularly fortunate in the quality of our homestay providers in Salisbury; there is only one other language school in the city and so there is no shortage of quality accommodation for us to choose from and to ensure that you enjoy a “home away from home”. We also have a branch in Muscat, Oman, where we deliver English and Farsi language training to a number of Government departments.
Business Services
Business English
Objective: Studying this course at BABYLON will enable you to become more fluent and confident in using the language of business and increase your career prospects. The objective is to boost your confidence in speaking the English you need for the workplace and to develop the practical English skills you need in the business world.
General English
Our General English courses cover all levels from beginner to advanced* and all levels are taught by trained English teachers. The minimum age for this course is 16 years old. You are given a placement test so that you can be sure that you are in the correct class. There is a particular emphasis on developing your communication skills on our General English courses.
You will have lessons based on a course book and will study reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar, but you will also take part in activities designed to get you speaking and communicating in English. You will be encouraged to reach level B1 before starting IELTS classes or Cambridge higher suite exam preparation. There is a weekly progress test on Friday mornings. This will mean that you are always aware of your progress and learning outcomes.
*Certain levels may not be available immediately.
You may combine the General English morning course with Academic or Professional English from level B1 (Intermediate). Taking the afternoon General English lessons will give you guided practice in communication and writing skills, allowing you more practice in the areas you studied in the morning classes. You may study the General English course part time. However, you will be responsible for completing the missed morning lessons as homework.
English culture is an important part of our language and you will be encouraged to engage in class projects and homework that will help you understand British and English culture. We want you to take full advantage of being in England and practise your English outside of the classroom too. You should expect about 4-5 hours per week homework on our intensive course.

Unfortunately yes, Abraham Dalboozi managed to scam Salisbury families for hosting their students but not getting paid. Hopefully, he and his family are not forming another company and the same all over again.
Avoid this company! Babylon School of English (BSofE) is a subsidiary of Babylon School of Arabic (BSofA), Registration No: 04433057. Review its accounts at the Companies House or an alternative 'companies check' website. Host families in/around Salisbury have boarded and fed students of BSofE but have not received payment. The proprietors FAHEM DALBOZZI (aka Abraham) and SUSAN PATRICIA DALBOZZI are ignoring email requests for payment and are avoiding incoming calls from their creditor host families. Non payment damages goodwill, without which the established host families will reject future requests to board students. This is a recipe for failure. Do not be misled by alluring webpages, complete a company account check and use a reputable firm. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
