Where do I start. This is the most terrible place I have ever worked in my life. Beyond the ridiculous hours (90+ per week) and terrible pay (£125 a week), the most terrible aspect was the family who owns and runs this establishment. I have never encountered such angry, vile people before nor since. They had terrible anger management problems and would fly into a rage over the most minor of issues (something being a minute late, a table in the wrong place, etc etc). They would even shout at you for not doing things that they had in fact never even asked you to do. You constantly felt you were being watched and were heavily gaslit into feeling you were doing everything wrong. Everybody at this place hated working here and considered leaving several times throughout the summer. It took a severe toll on staff’s mental and physical health. Nobody came back year on year. It is a vile place run by nasty people who should be ashamed of themselves. Do not send your kids here. They will eat rubbish food, sleep in dirty rooms that aren’t even cleaned professionally the entire summer, and do some bog-standard activities. It is not worth the extortionate price you will pay, which is so high because the summer income tides the business over for the rest of the year. The owners do not care about your children - they just see them as cash cows to fund their business and lifestyle. I absolutely hate and am sickened by the existence of this place. Please never work here nor send your children here. Be unemployed rather than take a job here. The mother, son and daughter who run it are disgusting, vile people who do not deserve any kind of success. They overwork, underpay and abuse their staff and have no regard for their welfare.
